lecture on pure physics and application

" INTRODUCTION"

IN physics many people wonders how physics really can tell about the things which we are surrounding by. Many people try to know that how physics works in their daily life. How physicist really can do physics? In this blog i am going to discuss some insight of the discoveries done by great people in scientific history which has changed the archaic thinking pattern of people and even scientist. We have stepped into the modern realm of science and technology where thinking patterns are so different and ideas that explain the behavior is so weird, but they follow the basic physics and mathematics that opens the realm of modern theory of nature. How nature works in beyond our reach of imagination. And these superb ideas and experiments have stretched our understanding of nature that sometimes or very often scientist says that, omg! This can't happen. Something wrong is going on in our experiment. But the fact is fact. And nobody can change it. It’s not what you expect; rather it’s the nature and nature of nature that everything is working in such an extraordinary manner, that it makes you think about your talent and understanding of present principles of nature. How far we have come, it happens only due to  the some greatest mind in history like ARISTOTLE, GALILEO,  KEPLER, NEWTON, FARADAY, MAXWELL, EDISON, TESLA, DALTON, PLANK, EINSTEIN, SCHRÖDINGER, RAMANUJAN, DIRAC, FERMI, FEYNMAN, BOSE, RAMAN, CHANDRASEKHAR, HUBBLE, RAYCHAUDHARY, NASH and so on. They contributed a great extent of their brain to extract the deeper mystery of nature. But the question that we all are wonders, how they have thought about these weird ideas, and how they think so creatively, that nobody even ever dreamed about these things, and formulate the mathematical structure, for them which is like a colour that paints in their theory to make it amazing and workable. Let’s take an example of Newton. In his early age at the age of only 23yrs, he has formulated the principle of motion and gravity. And he discovered the relation between force, mass and acceleration. And figure out the gravitational force between the masses
F= GmM/r2,   where G is gravitational constant, and its value is
6.67x10-11 (Newton meter2kg-1).And many ground shaking breakthrough in scientific history is done in very early age of 30s. Due to this discovery of principle, and deeper understanding of nature, people first time wonders when they look into the sky and dreamed that, one day we have to cross this barrier and step into the new horizon of world. After the Newton there came a new scientist in human history which has changed the face of the world. We are surrounded by motors, which are essential to our life. The discovery of electricity and magnetism has revolutionized the world. It was Faraday who discovered that electricity and magnetism is not different from each other but the two aspects of single coin. And he figure out that if a current is running through wire it produces the magnetic field and if the magnet is pass through any loop of wire, it will produce the current across the loop, which ultimately lead the Faraday to invent the electric motor, which has changed the face of world. He also discovered that there is some relation exists between light and electricity and magnetism. Since, he had no formal education of science, so that he could never write any scientific theory of his work. And hence it came to the greatest theoretical physicist as well as mathematician JAMES CLERK MAXWELL, who was at that time extraordinary mathematician. And when he came across the work of Faraday, he said to himself, ah, he is absolutely correct, and I can formulate the mathematical structure for Faraday, that supported his work. And after formulating all the aspects of electricity and magnetism, he finally submitted his work to the Faraday, which changed the whole point of view of the world about Faraday. But still the world has not found its ultimate diamond, which was Einstein, who has changed the face of whole scientific world, and said that “Newton was wrong”. The previous theory of gravity is wrong. And he published the beautiful scientific papers in 1905. The four papers 1) E=MC2. 2) Brownian Motion. 3) Photoelectric Effect. 4) Special Theory Of Relativity.  These four papers had revolutionized the world, but Einstein was very far from finished. Since the one thing was missing from his theory of relativity was Gravity. He reviewed his paper of relativity and said that the works only for special case that is speed of light. That is constant But nothing is constant in reality, Gravity is everywhere, why it’s absent in my theory. And after that 1906 he engaged to develop his super amazing theory of gravity which explained the dynamics of world in bigger scale.

IST CHAPTER UNITS & DIMENSION ANALYSICS

UNITS- Q uestion you need ton first understand the meaning of science. Science means MEASUREMENTS. In every field of science we do measurements, science only cares about measuring things. That means the things have to be observable. That’s why in science we don’t take care about FEELINGS. Because we can’t measure feelings. Now as we measure something, we need to represent it in some notation to identify or distinguish between quantities. Because whatever we measure it’s just number, if I say you the speed is 5. What info can you tell about 5, it’s just a number, it nothing tells you about anything related to speed. So you need to specify specific quantities to extract info. Actually speed refers to unit distance travel in unit seconds. So the unit distance can be shown in centimeters, meters, and kilometers. Generally we show distances in meters because it acceptable internationally and it is general notation we use in physics. So the (SI) unit of speed is meters per second. So, yo...

Scattering In Quantum Mechanics

Scattering Amplitude  Spinless Particle  we are dealing with quantum description of scattering.  Elastic Scattering $ \rightarrow $ between two spinless, non-relativistic particles of masses m1 and m2. During the scattering process, the particles interact with one another. If the interaction is time independent, we can describe the two-particle system with stationary states.  \begin{equation}\Psi\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}, t\right)=\psi\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}\right) e^{-i E_{T} t / n}\end{equation}  $ E_T $ is total energy.  \begin{equation}\left[-\frac{\hbar^{2}}{2 m_{1}} \vec{\nabla}_{1}^{2}-\frac{\hbar^{2}}{2 m_{2}} \vec{\nabla}_{2}^{2}+\hat{V}\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}\right)\right] \psi\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}\right)=E_{T} \psi\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}\right) \end{equation}     defining $ ...
