HOW TO BECOME THEORETICAL PHYSICIST

TO BECOME THEORETICAL PHYSICS FIRST YOU NEED TO GET RID OF SOME PARTICULAR HABITS. THESE HABITS ARE OBSTACLE TO BECOME ANY THING…

  1. PROCRASTINATION
  2. DON’T SEEK FOR HIGH GRADES
  3. ALWAYS QUESTION LIKE HOW TO BECOME THIS ONE OR THAT ONE, HOW TO SOLVE PROBLEM AND SO ON.
  4. NEVER LET YOUR SELF DEMOTIVATED WITH THE FAILURES YOU WILL RECEIVE IN THIS PATH.
  5. DON’T FOLLOW MATHEMATICS BLINDLY. INDIAN AUTHORS THEY JUST WRITE MATHS AND NEVER LET YOU THINK THAT WHAT THE CORE THINKING BEHIND THIS...IS

NEVER FILL YOUR HEAD WITH BULLSHITS. THESE THOUGHTS GONNA EMBRACE YOU AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE HELL.
DON’T TRY TO BECOME LIKE A.EINSTEIN OR FEYNMAN, NEWTON AND SO ON. YOU NEED TO FIRST UNDERSTAND THAT ALL GREAT PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT FROM ONE ANOTHER. THEY NEVER COPIED SOME ONE ELSE’S LIFE. MEANING THAT DON’T TRY TO BECOME SOME ONE ELSE RATHER BECOME ORIGINAL.
DON’T SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON SOCIAL NETWORKING.
ALWAYS READ BOOKS.
ALWAYS DO MATHEMATICS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
IN THEORETICAL PHYSICS THERE ARE LOT OF MATHS YOU NEED TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THE MATHS TO REALLY UNDERSTAND PHYSICS IN A VERY PRECISE SCALE.
DON’T JUST COPY THEOREMS; RATHER TRY TO MAGNIFY THE THEOREMS WITH YOUR UNDERSTANDING, PROOF BY YOUR OWN.
NEVER TRY TO JUMP TO STRING THEORY, MULTIVERSE IDEAS. FOR NON PHYSICS STUDENT THESE ARE THE STORIES, BUT YOU ARE THE STORY MAKER. TO MAKE STORIES YOU REALLY NEED TO UNDERSTAND FUNDAMENTAL PHYSICS AND HOW TO FRAME MATHEMATICS IN ORDER TO DEVELOP THESE IDEAS.
FOLLOW THE BOOKS- HALLIDAY, UNIVERSITY PHYSICS, AND ZILL FOR MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS, PAUL A TIPLER. ELECTRODYNAMICS BY GRIFFITHS.
MAKE AN AMAZING UNDERSTANDING OF HIGHER ORDER DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION.
FOLLOW THE LECTURES OF WALTER LEWIS, LEONARDO SUSSKIND, V BALAKRISHNAN, AND SO ON
THERE ARE MANY ANIMATED PHYSICS SERIES POSTED IN YOU TUBE, NAMED CRASH COURSE IN SCIENCE OR WHATEVER, WATCH THESE VIDEOS CAREFULLY TO UNDERSTAND ABSTRACTLY. THEY HELP A LOT TO IMAGINATION.
WHEN EVER YOU SOLVE MATHS ALWAYS ASK WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHAT IS THE MEANING OF IT? WHAT IS THE POSSIBLE CONFIGURATION OF THIS? WHAT ARE THE SPECIAL CASES. STUDY OF GRAPHS.
PROCEED STEP BY STEP.
READ MORE, ASK QUESTIONS, DO MATHS, TRY NEW THING, EXPLAIN OTHERS, EXPECTATION LESS, ENJOY MORE.
FOLLOW YOUR DREAM AND INTUITION. BEST OF LUCK YOUNG THEORETICAL PHYSICIST.

IST CHAPTER UNITS & DIMENSION ANALYSICS

UNITS- Q uestion you need ton first understand the meaning of science. Science means MEASUREMENTS. In every field of science we do measurements, science only cares about measuring things. That means the things have to be observable. That’s why in science we don’t take care about FEELINGS. Because we can’t measure feelings. Now as we measure something, we need to represent it in some notation to identify or distinguish between quantities. Because whatever we measure it’s just number, if I say you the speed is 5. What info can you tell about 5, it’s just a number, it nothing tells you about anything related to speed. So you need to specify specific quantities to extract info. Actually speed refers to unit distance travel in unit seconds. So the unit distance can be shown in centimeters, meters, and kilometers. Generally we show distances in meters because it acceptable internationally and it is general notation we use in physics. So the (SI) unit of speed is meters per second. So, yo...

Scattering In Quantum Mechanics

Scattering Amplitude  Spinless Particle  we are dealing with quantum description of scattering.  Elastic Scattering $ \rightarrow $ between two spinless, non-relativistic particles of masses m1 and m2. During the scattering process, the particles interact with one another. If the interaction is time independent, we can describe the two-particle system with stationary states.  \begin{equation}\Psi\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}, t\right)=\psi\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}\right) e^{-i E_{T} t / n}\end{equation}  $ E_T $ is total energy.  \begin{equation}\left[-\frac{\hbar^{2}}{2 m_{1}} \vec{\nabla}_{1}^{2}-\frac{\hbar^{2}}{2 m_{2}} \vec{\nabla}_{2}^{2}+\hat{V}\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}\right)\right] \psi\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}\right)=E_{T} \psi\left(\vec{r}_{1}, \vec{r}_{2}\right) \end{equation}     defining $ ...
